MadB is on March Break, Cee Cee is feeling much better but still has to be on an inhaler three times a day, Will is fine with only eczema in the end and Josie and I have survived another mere cold. The snow is melting quickly but luckily there was a 15cm dump up high overnight to refresh the skiing. Off to Kelowna soon for a fun weekend anyone want to fly out since we will already be there so you can come stay for some spring skiing?

Well we have officially called off any trips to Ontario this summer, that means we will definitely be there the next one for a few weeks. No big news here, CeeCee has a respiratory virus and we think Will has some slap cheek virus. I felt we had got over all the sicknesses but they just keep appearing. We will have to be much more conscientious about staying healthy I guess as the bugs have our number right now.

Well everyone is beginning to think spring around here. Skiing still dominates and everyone still wants to get out there but the desires for the snow to disappear from town seem to exist in everyone. Again on Sunday we spent the day skiing, and I also got several hours in myself Monday. Josie actually put skis on and did some runs with the kids while I took the other. This was Josie's first time on skis since she hucked herself off a cliff at Kicking Horse in 2007. She was great and even did the Tumblina run the kids love so much. MadB is doing great and really loves the social aspects of cruising around with her friends while Will loves the speed. All Will can say for the 20 minute ride down the Last Spike is "Go faster" and "Lets hit another jump".
We are still debating the Ontario visit, and things look unlikely as time just won't seem to permit us the visit we want to put in. We think we have a grasp on it financially kind of but work and other plans make next summer look like a certainty.
CeeCee loves toboganning and MadB before her last Nordic lesson representing team Canada.

We are having another snowy week, well over 30cms since Sunday. Madeleine took advantage of these conditions and made her first solo descent from day lodge to base. This is probably about 6 switchbacks of about 100 to 300 metres in length, covering maybe 100m vertical. She was a bit apprehensive at the first corner but once she got around it she was jubilant, "I CAN do it" she declared with big cheeky smiles. This Sunday we are doing the long run from the top of the gondola, William will be harnessed in and Madb will go it alone. I hope it all works as planned. Her Nordic lessons come to an end this week too, and I finally got to go to one last week. It was pretty fun and relaxing, it seems to be a nice family activity that I hope we can pursue more next year. Will is capable for shorter tours now but has trouble climbing still. I guess we have lots of time and we need to wait for CeeCee too. Everything else is pretty mellow here, Josie is planning to run a half marathon with Lisa and others in Vancouver this spring in regards to their 40th birthdays. Her training is going pretty good. I have a mountain bike and hike race coming in the fall for the husbands of the women going to Vancouver. I'll keep you posted on the training there. Otherwise things are fine and just the same as ever.
